Insurance should be your safety net, covering expenses that you can't afford when you pay a small proportion into the system on a regular basis. Instead the insurance companies have become multi-billion dollar walls that block the insured person from getting good health care.
Insurance does not create a place where you can sit down and have a good conversation with your provider and create an effective plan of care. Medicare and Medicaid have never covered the costs of the visits, and now commercial insurance has gotten to the same place.
Well, it is just not fair to have to pay all that money every month and not get anything for it, and, both you and our office have committed to using that ineffective go between. Until something else comes along.

If we are listed on the insurance website for your policy then it is likely that the visit will be paid.
We cannot guarantee anything with your insurance.
We cannot change anything with the Medicare Advantage plans, no matter how many 1 - 800 numbers they give you.
Commercial insurance pays for about 20 minutes of our office time. Multiple studies show that the other 75% of provider time is not reimbursed, and no other office functions that we do for you can be billed.
In order to spend that time with you, the other items will have to be invoiced separately. Referrals, prior authorizations, and other paperwork are examples of these items.
