**ALWAYS ASK FOR AN ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTION REFILL REQUEST. ALL PRESCRIPTIONS SHOULD BE FILLED WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS, BUT IF THEY SEND ANOTHER REQUEST, THAT OFTEN WILL CHANGE THE DATE AND RESET THE DEADLINE. **
Is it a new prescription? If our provider has not written for it and you do not have a current prescription that you are transferring from another provider, you will need to have a visit to address risks and benefits. If another provider has written for it, you will need to portal message or call the office to request it. Please have all details of the prescription ready, otherwise it may be written incorrectly and take longer to fill.
Did we write you for that prescription? Many times we will have given you instructions for follow up - either with a visit or a lab. Please check your paperwork or call the office. You can also ask the pharmacy to send a refill request, and that will trigger us to reach out to you.
Are you due for your Wellness visit? We can refill your prescriptions for 30 days to get the Wellness visit done. You can have the pharmacy send a refill request to us. They may tell you they can't, but they can.
It has been 2 business days and my prescription hasn't been filled.
If you are due for labs or a visit we may be trying to get hold of you. If you touch base, we can confirm that the prescription in the electronic queue is there and when it was received. Then make sure that we don't need to see you for something.
