Dr. Potter earned her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Delaware where she graduated Magna cum Laude.
She attended the University of Maryland where she earned her Masters of Science Degree in 1994.
Her degree is in Nutrition Sciences, and her research topic was about the effects of glucose on the reward systems of the brain.
After medical school at Penn State College of Medicine in 2000, she completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology
from the University of Maryland Medical Systems in 2004. She is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In 2014, Dr. Potter completed her Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona,
training under Dr. Andrew Weil and a team of excellent mentors.
Dr. Potter has won numerous awards and fellowships, including the Kappa Omicron Nu National Honor Society,
Fellow in Adolescent Nutrition. Dr. Potter won the resident teaching award in 2002 for her exceptional skills as an educator.
Dogwood Wellness began as Dogwood Women's Health in 2008, and broadened into integrative primary as a natural progression
after the Integrative Medicine Fellowship and Dr. Potter's interest in developing foundational wellness
in her clients drew her to treat a more diverse group of individuals.
